Hello, Reader! Happy Summer! I am hopping into your inbox with a short note about new meetups and events coming up this Summer. I'm also keeping this brief so you can head back outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather!! Last month we shared about the new meetups that started this past month. Well, we're still tickled about how the hosts have been bringing all this newness to the chapter's lists of meetups, and totally in love with how much you've enjoyed getting together in these new venues. Warmly, and as always, bookishly, ~ nicole (& the whole SBC613 team) New meetups... still exciting! ALSO, this month, on the 18th, we are going to the 2nd Annual Summer Romance Market at Parkdale Market. From 2pm to 4pm, we'll be providing a silent reading corner at the event. Bring your book (and your blanket or chair!) and stroll over to the Silent Book Club reading area, for some quiet reading time. Our hosts will be there to greet you and answer any questions you might have about SBC613. We'll also have some books there that you can pick up and enjoy if you don't have your own! June 2026 We're well into Spring and moving swiftly (some say too swiftly!) into Summer, Reader. We've said hello and goodbye to a million tulips; we've seen magnolia and cherry blossoms bloom; we've seen forsythia go from bright yellow to deep and rich greens; and, we've already welcomed the unfurling of leaves on all the trees that surround us. As Summer approaches this month, lilacs will make themselves known with their bright purples, creams and pinks, and their strong and heady scent....
